Bug Quilters made a beautiful quilt to raffle during the 2010 quilt
show. Many of our members worked for a year to create this beautiful
quilt. It has 18 appliqué blocks that surround a friendship path.
This quilt reflects the theme of this year’s quilt show, “A Garden
of Friendships”. The
raffle quilt was designed by Kari MacDonald, who oversaw the appliqué
and piece work. Fabrics were donated from High Sierra Quilt Store
and Shared Stitches Quilt Store, both located in Cameron Park; and from
the fabric stash of Barbara Van Brunt’s late mother. Carla Barrett,
an award-winning long arm quilter, did the quilting. You
can be a lucky winner of this quilt by making a donation. Tickets
are: $1.00 for one (1) ticket, or $5.00 for six (6) tickets The winner will be announced at the quilt show on September 11, at 3:00 p.m. You do not have to be present to win. You may purchase tickets by mailing your request to Donna Lockwood, 2380 Old Blair Mill Rd., Pollock Pines, CA 95726, or email donna at dlockwood012@aol.com . Checks should be made to Gold Bug Quilters |
